This special program encompasses two sacred pilgrimage sites of Nepal on the divine day of Maha Shivratri. The spiritual trip begins by offering your prayers in the venerated Pashupatinath temple. Nepal houses some of the best and most significant places devoted to Shiva where devotees should visit and experience it first hand at least once in a lifetime. As Lord Shiva is an important deity of the Hindu culture, the festival holds an important significance of the union of Lord Shiva and Shakti. It is to be believed that on this day, the stars in the Northern Hemisphere are aligned to their perfect position to help increase and attain spiritual energy.
Thousands of pilgrims attend the proceedings in Pashupatinath temple with spiritual belief and utmost devotion. Another major attraction is the colorful sadhus, who hail from different parts of Nepal and India and make a vibrant crowd. The trip also offers an opportunity to visit Muktinath temple, a sacred site for devout worshippers that help them attain ‘moksh’ from the cycle of birth and rebirth. Located at an elevation of 3710 meters, at the base of Thorong La Pass, Muktinath is a mystical center for both Hindus and Buddhists. An unimaginable holy site in it’s own, one can uncover endless inner energy.
Fly to Kathmandu . Group shall be met at the airport and transfer provided to Hotel by a representative from Richa Tours.
Attend the Maha Shivratri festival by offering your prayers in the world-renowned Pashupatinath temple, situated on the holy Bagmati River. Explore the temple, complete all the Puja rituals and darshan of mighty Lord Shiva.
After breakfast, drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara via Manakamana temple, a highly venerated scared place. Legend believes that if you come with a clear mind and pure belief, all your wishes come true. After the temple visit, proceed to Pokhra for overnight stay.
Early morning fly from Pokhara to Jomsom. Drive to Muktinath. Catch glimpse of the breathtaking surroundings and complete your darshan in Muktinath temple.
Fly Jomsom-Pokhara. Half day sightseeing includes David’s Fall and Gupteshwor temple.
Catch a flight back to Kathmandu. The rest of the day is kept for personal relaxation and individual exploration.
Check out from the Hotel and transfer will be provided to the Airport for final departure back home.
