Please note that for all the programmes under Tibet & China, we shall be sending the dates and prices only after we receive the enquiry from the clients.
Day 01: Fly to Kathmandu. Group shall be met and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Darshan of Guhyeshwari Temple, Pashupatinath Temple and Sleeping Vishnu.
Day 03: Early morning flight from Kathmandu – Lhasa. Group shall be met at Lhasa Gonggar airport and transfer to the city. Check into hotel and later in the afternoon, visit Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Bazaar.
Day 04: Sightseeing Tour of The Potala Palace, Sera Monastery and Drepung Monastery.
Day 05: Drive Lhasa to Gyantse via The Yamdrok Tso Lake (Torquoise Lake). At Gyantse, visit the Khumbhum Stupa & Phalkor Monatsery.
Day 06: After breakfast, drive to Shigatse – the second largest town of Tibet. Visit the Tashilunpo Monastery and the free market.
Day 07: Drive to Rongbuk.
Day 08: In the morning, excursion to Everest Base Camp. Return to Tingri for overnight.
Day 09: Drive to Kerung.
Day 10: Drive to the border and cross over to Nepal side. Proceed to Kathmandu.
Day 11: The day is free until your transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, where our representative will warmly welcome you. Transfer to Shanker Hotel. Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, is a bustling city with a rich blend of history, culture, and spirituality. If time permits, take a short walk in Thamel, the vibrant tourist hub, with its souvenir shops, local handicrafts, and cafés. Evening is at leisure to rest and acclimatize, prepare your luggage for the yatra, and enjoy your first taste of Nepali cuisine. Overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, enjoy sightseeing in Kathmandu. Visit Pashupatinath Temple, one of the oldest and holiest temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, situated along the sacred Bagmati River. Witness the ritual ceremonies performed by devotees on the riverbanks. Next, visit Guhyeshwari Temple, an important center for tantric worship dedicated to Goddess Shakti. Continue to Budhanilkantha, famous for the enormous Sleeping Vishnu statue, carved from a single black stone, reclining on the cosmic serpent Ananta Shesha. After returning to the hotel for lunch, attend the pre-departure briefing, covering high-altitude safety, necessary gear, and travel preparations for the Yatra. Overnight at Shanker Hotel.
At 6:00 AM, drive to Tribhuvan International Airport for flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival at Gonggar Airport (3,570m), meet the Tibetan team and transfer to Lhasa City (1.5 hours’ drive) and check in at Snow Heaven Hotel, Lhasa for rest and acclimatization. After lunch, begin your sightseeing program around 2:00 PM with a visit to the sacred Jokhang Temple, the spiritual heart of Tibet, followed by a walking tour around Barkhor Bazaar, the vibrant traditional market area and pilgrim kora route. Sightseeing concludes around 5:00 PM, after which you return to the hotel for rest and overnight at Snow Heaven Hotel, Lhasa.

After breakfast, begin your morning sightseeing at 9:00 AM with a guided visit to the iconic Potala Palace (3,700m), exploring its ancient chapels, murals, and historical chambers (approx. 2–3 hours). After lunch, proceed to Sera Monastery around 2:00 PM, one of Tibet’s major monastic institutions, where you will explore its courtyards, prayer halls, and academic sections. Return to the hotel around 5:30 PM for rest and overnight stay Snow Heaven Hotel, Lhasa.

The overland adventure begins with a 260-kilometer drive that takes approximately 5 to 6 hours. You will cross the Kamba La Pass (4,794m), offering a breathtaking panorama of the turquoise Yamdrok Tso Lake (also known as the Turquoise Lake). After descending to the lakeshore, you continue past the Karo La Glacier to reach Gyantse. Here, you will visit the Khumbhum Stupa and Phalkor Monastery, renowned for their 15th-century murals and unique architectural style. You will stay overnight at the Gyantse Hotel.

After breakfast, you will take a short and scenic 95-kilometer drive, lasting about 2 hours, to Shigatse, Tibet’s second-largest city. The highlight of the day is the Tashilhunpo Monastery, the traditional seat of the Panchen Lama and home to a massive gilded statue of the Future Buddha. After the monastery visit, you will have time to explore the Shigatse free market to observe local Tibetan life and crafts before retiring to Hotel Getsar.

This is a challenging but rewarding day as you drive approximately 340 kilometers over 7 to 8 hours toward the Everest region. You will cross the Gyatso La Pass (5,220m), where you may catch your first glimpse of Mt. Everest in the distance. The road eventually winds toward Rongbuk, the site of the world’s highest monastery. The accommodation at the Rongbuk Lodge is basic and the air is thin, but the location offers an unparalleled, direct view of the North Face of Mount Everest.

In the morning, you will undertake an excursion to the Everest Base Camp (North Side) at an altitude of (5,200m). Being at the base of the world’s highest peak is a profound experience for both pilgrims and travelers. After spending time taking in the majesty of the “Goddess Mother,” you will begin your descent, driving roughly 100 kilometers over 4 hours to Tingri. The lower altitude of Tingri (4,300m) compared to Rongbuk ensures a more comfortable night’s sleep.

The journey continues westward and then turns south toward the Nepal border. The drive covers about 250 kilometers and takes 5 to 6 hours. As you leave the dry, high-altitude Tibetan plateau, the road descends sharply into the lush, forested Kerung (Gyirong) Valley. The dramatic change in landscape and the increase in oxygen levels are noticeable as you arrive at Pilgrims Inn in Kerung, providing a restful environment after the high-altitude stretches of the trip.

You will drive to the Rasuwagadhi border, complete the immigration formalities, and cross back into Nepal. The final leg of the journey is a 175-kilometer drive back to Kathmandu. Although the distance is relatively short, the winding mountain roads through the Langtang region mean the drive takes approximately 8 to 9 hours. You will return to the Shanker Hotel for a well-deserved shower and a final celebratory dinner in the capital.

Your 11-day Yatra concludes today. You have the morning free for rest or last-minute shopping for souvenirs like Thangkas or Rudraksha beads. Our representative will meet you at the hotel and provide a transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport (a 20 to 30-minute drive) for your onward flight, carrying with you the spiritual blessings and memories of the Himalayas.
