Trip Overview

Trekking to the base of Mount Everest will surpass your expectations. We ascend in true expedition style savoring the quintessential trekking experience with our guides, crew and porters as we trek to the base of the world’s highest mountain. Our carefully devised itinerary reflects our proven track record for safe acclimatization – the key to any successful trek in the Everest region.

Our trail leads through the famous villages of Namche Bazar, Syangboche Airport (3752 meters above the sea level) and Khumjung as well as Tengboche monastery that reflect the renowned Sherpa culture. We include ascents to Kala Patthar (5545m) from where our guides will point out the classic climbing routes to the Mount Everest Summit. A foray is also included to Everest Base Camp from where expeditions prepare to climb the world’s highest peak. All nights are spent in our exclusive private Eco campsites and handpicked Eco lodges.

Outline Itinerary

Day – 1 Reaching Kathmandu (1,300 m. / 4,290 ft.) Last minute briefing of the trek and completing formalities. (L, D.) Stay in Hotel Shanker or similar
Day – 2 Kathmandu – Lukla (2,850 m. / 9,350 ft.) by flight (35 to 40 minutes) – then walking to Phakding (2,640 m. / 8,661 ft.) Around 4 hours of walk. (B, L, D.) Overnight stay in Guest House.
Day – 3 Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3450 m. / 11,319 ft.) Around 5 ½ to 6 hours of walk. (B, L, D.) Overnight stay in Guest House.
Day – 4 Rest at Namche Bazaar. Some small excursions to nearby places like Syangboche (3,900 m. / 12,795 ft.) (B, L, D.) Overnight stay in Royal Singi Hotel
Day – 5 Namche Bazaar to Deboche (3,710 m. / 12,171 ft.) Around 6 hours of walk. (B, L, D.) Overnight stay in Guest House.
Day – 6 Deboche to Dingboche (4,350 m. / 14,271 ft.) Around 6 hours of walk. (B, L, D.) Overnight stay in Guest House.

Day – 8 Dingboche to Lobuche (4,940 m. / 16,207 ft.) Around 6 hours of walk. (B, L, D.) Overnight stay in Guest House.
Day – 9 Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,170 m. / 16,962 ft.) Around 3 ½ hours of walk. Then trek up to EBC (5,360 m. / 17,585 ft.) and back. Around 5 hours of walk to & fro. (B, L, D.) Overnight stay in Guest House.
Day – 10 Gorak Shep to Kala Pattar (5,554 m. / 18,222 ft.) and back to Pheriche

Day – 11 Pheriche to Deboche Total walk time around 4 to 5 hours. (B, L, D.) Overnight stay in Guest House.
